Development Permit Application - DP #02-2020 - Janda Group - 2nd Floor Redevelopment for 82 Residential Units - 850 Oliver Street (Boitanio Mall)


TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the City of Williams Lake on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 6:00 PM, at a Regular Council Meeting to be held virtually, in accordance with the Province’ COVID-19 health orders, will consider application for Development Permit No. DP #02-2020.

Adhering to the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, the City of Williams Lake has now limited in-person attendance at Council Meetings to staff and Council only. Keeping the Provincial Health Emergency in mind, members of the public are encouraged to submit written comments in support of or opposition to DP #02-2020 prior to 4:30 PM on the above date to the attention of the Corporate Services Department, either by E-Mail to corporateservices@williamslake.ca, by hand to the front counter of City Hall, or by mail to City of Williams Lake, c/o Corporate Service, 450 Mart Street, Williams Lake, BC, V2G 1N3 (note that mail delivery must be received at City Hall by the date of the meeting). A Notice giving an explanation of the purpose and effect of the Permit and stating the lands affected is also provided below.

The purpose of Development Permit No. DP #02-2020 is to permit redevelopment of the second floor of Boitanio Mall to construct 82 new residential units. The property is addressed as 850 Oliver Street, legally described as Lot A, District Lot 71, Cariboo District, Plan EPP78192.

The purpose of Development Variance Permit No. DVP #01-2021 is to amend Section 408 of City of Williams Lake Zoning Bylaw No. 1825, 2002 by reducing the number of required parking spaces, from 3 spaces to 2 spaces for a Single Family Dwelling with a Secondary Suite located at 117 – 375 Mandarino Place, legally described as Strata Lot 29, District Lot 8841, Cariboo District, Strata Plan PGS326, Together with an Interest in the Common Property in Proportion to the Unit Entitlement of the Strata Lot as Shown on Form V.
