Media Release - Declaration of Election Results

Below are the official results from the City of Williams Lake local government elections, declared by Chief Election Officer Ross Coupé at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022.

In 2022 a total of 3,197 of 8,185 registered electors voted, resulting in a 39.1 per cent voter turnout, compared to the 2018 General Local Election which saw a 37.8 per cent voter turnout and the 2014 election with a 45.8 per cent voter turnout.

There were several opportunities to vote offered in this election, including two advance voting opportunities, three special voting opportunities for residents of seniors’ residential facilities and broadly available mail-voting opportunities.
