Bylaw 1947, Open air burning within the municipal boundaries of the City of Williams Lake

OPEN AIR BURNING

23.      No person shall light, ignite, start or maintain, or allow or cause to be lighted, ignited started or maintained, any open air fire, except:

(a)   Outdoor cooking fires provided the fire is contained in a device or fixture designed for such purpose and the fire is only burning clean dry wood or briquettes;

(a)      Outdoor fires in pits approved by the Fire Chief for use in licensed campgrounds or tourist parks;

(b)      Fires deemed necessary for municipal burning; and

(c)      Fires lit for Fire Department training exercises.
