The City of Williams Lake is seeking interest from the community for the organization and implementation of the 2023 Williams Lake Stampede Parade.
Until March 6, 2023 at 4 pm, the City invites Expressions of Interest from local groups, individuals or companies for the parade, taking place this year on July 1, 2023.
The City has $10,000 to contribute to the success of this parade, and will work with the successful applicant to review equipment required or available for use the day of the parade.
The beloved, annual community event attracts thousands of residents and visitors to the City’s downtown core during the Williams Lake Stampede weekend showcasing community organizations such as sports teams, not-for-profits, businesses and individuals, which participate in the spectacle.
“The Williams Lake Stampede Parade is an important, special and unique event, and the City wants to ensure its continued success for the entire community to enjoy,” Mayor Surinderpal Rathor said. “We are pleased to support this event and look forward to watching it take place.”
Responses to this Expressions of Interest will be evaluated based on criteria outlined on the City’s website at: https://www.williamslake.ca/995/Williams-Lake-Stampede-Parade.
An informational meeting for interested parties will be held on February 28, 2023 at 5 pm at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex. Attendance is not mandatory for any applicant.
