How do I apply?
Download an application form, and submit to the City by June 16, 2014.

How much time do I need to commit to Junior Council?
Junior Council meetings are held after school on either Mondays or Tuesdays and generally last 1.5—2 hours twice a month. Junior Council members are expected to participate in at least one Committee meeting per month with Council members.There is also a full day and an evening of orientation in September/October, generally on a Pro-D day that you will be expected to participate in.

What will I get from being involved in Junior Council?
• Volunteer credit for graduation portfolio
• Orientation to municipal government operations, administration, political and decision making processes
• Opportunity to provide youth voice to municipal processes
• Learning about how municipal government functions
• Have fun with other youth discussing, debating and planning projects
